Suggest European friends and allies read not only the National Security Strategy but also the National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2026, which was published last night. It's very long, so skip to this section:

Note the provision about reclassifying aid to Ukraine as needed U.S. stocks -- this cannot be done, per this draft, unless the kit is so badly needed for a contingency op, its absence could result in mission failure or loss of American lives:

https://x.com/bayraktar_1love/status/19 ... BBI8w&s=19A military conflict is flaring up with renewed vigor between Thailand and Cambodia. Thai aviation is carrying out numerous strikes. Heavy ground equipment from both sides, tanks, and MLRS are also involved in the ground offensive. Trump's "Peace Deal" collapsed in a month and a half, and the war is raging with even greater force.
https://x.com/UkrReview/status/19983669 ... _G0cg&s=19@AmbJohnBolton : In a way, Trump’s withdrawal from Ukraine could be positive, with two conditions.
First, that the US continue to provide military intelligence to Ukraine, which we can do, and that the European NATO members cannot.
And second, that we continue to sell weapons and ammunition to the European NATO members, who can transfer them to Ukraine.
If Trump gets away with that, then I think there’s a chance to disrupt the Kremlin’s attempts to break the Ukrainian resistance.
If that stops, it’s going to be very serious. But with Trump, you never know what “withdrawal” means.
But his efforts here are completely focused on winning the Nobel Peace Prize. That’s what it’s all about. This is not about America, NATO, or Ukrainian security. This is about Donald Trump.
It is quite possible that Trump will say: “I did everything I could to find a solution between these two sides. And I forced Putin to agree to a reasonable solution. It is the fault of Zelensky and the Ukrainians.” And blame them.

While the publicly released NSS calls for the end of a “perpetually expanding NATO,” the full version goes more into the details of how the Trump administration would like to—quote—“Make Europe Great Again,” even as it calls on European NATO members to wean themselves from American military support.
Working from the premise that Europe is facing “civilizational erasure” because of its immigration policies and “censorship of free speech,” the NSS proposes to focus U.S. relationships with European countries on a few nations with like-minded—right-wing, presumably—current administrations and movements.
Austria, Hungary, Italy, and Poland are listed as countries the U.S. should “work more with…with the goal of pulling them away from the [European Union].”
“And we should support parties, movements, and intellectual and cultural figures who seek sovereignty and preservation/restoration of traditional European ways of life…while remaining pro-American,” the document says.
The C5
Over the summer, President Trump made headlines when he lamented the expulsion of Russia from the Group of Eight—now the Group of Seven—as a “very big mistake.” He even suggested that he’d like to see China added to form a “G9.”
His national security strategy proposes taking this a step further, creating a new body of major powers, one that isn’t hemmed in by the G7’s requirements that the countries be both wealthy and democratically governed.
The strategy proposes a “Core 5,” or C5, made up of the U.S., China, Russia, India and Japan—which are several of the countries with more than 100 million people. It would meet regularly, as the G7 does, for summits with specific themes.
First on the C5’s proposed agenda: Middle East security—specifically, normalizing relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia.

A demilitarized zone would be created along the entire ceasefire line.
Behind demilitarized zone, there would be a deeper buffer zone where heavy weapons would be banned.
One option is a "Korean-style" model:
a fixed line of separation,
the political status of contested territories postponed.
ZNPP would not remain under Russian control.
The US may take over management of the facility to ensure security.
Ukraine’s EU membership is targeted for 2027, with the US pressuring Hungary to lift its veto.
Membership is expected to boost trade, investment, and tighten control over systemic corruption within Ukraine.
The US would provide security guarantees similar to NATO’s Article 5 protection.
Ukraine wants these guarantees to be formally ratified by the US Congress.
Ukraine’s sovereignty would be protected from any Russian veto power in future security arrangements.

The administration of Donald Trump proposes using $100 billion in frozen Russian assets to fund Ukraine’s reconstruction. This amount could increase significantly.
US officials are talking with BlackRock and the World Bank about setting up a Ukrainian Development Fund. The fund could attract up to $400 billion for rebuilding Ukraine.
Trump reportedly wants similar large-scale investments for Russia as well.

Kyiv has sent a point-by-point reply to former President Trump’s 20-point peace proposal, Axios reported. Negotiator Rustem Umerov forwarded the response to Jared Kushner after consultations with allies, including the UK, France, and Germany.
The document proposes amendments aimed at making the plan workable and offers new approaches on contentious issues such as territorial control and the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant. President Zelensky faces mounting U.S. pressure to accept terms widely viewed as unfavorable.
Trump, who discussed the plan with E3 leaders this week, described the negotiations as being conducted “in strong words.” U.S. and Ukrainian military officials are scheduled to hold a follow-up session on Thursday.

“Prolonged war is definitely not something this president is interested in,” she added.

Donald Trump has exerted more pressure on Venezuela’s president Nicolás Maduro, expanding sanctions and issuing fresh threats to strike land targets in Venezuela, as the South American dictator accused the US president of ushering in a new “era of criminal naval piracy” in the Caribbean.
